The best way to slay your presentation.

Updated: Feb 23, 2021

Never underestimate the amount of time it will take you to prepare.

From creating your story-line to preparing slides that tell that story, preparation is the key to being confident when you step up to the podium.

Start preparing early. This will give you the best chance for success and the least amount of stress on the day.

For context, in my TEDx coaching process, I recommend a minimum of 100 minutes of preparation time for each minute on stage and starting at least 3 months in advance. TEDx talks are unique, so this is probably a bit of overkill for your regular presentations at work, but give yourself the chance to work and rework it so you can really show up.
